Daryl Mosley nominated for Male Vocalist, Songwriter of the Year.
At the 39th Annual Bluegrass Music Awards and Convention in Nashville, Tennessee this February, Daryl received nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. In addition, his band, The Farm Hands, were nominated for 7 awards including Bluegrass Band of the Year (Overall), Entertaining Band of the Year, and Traditional Gospel Group of the Year. The Farm Hand's Tim Graves was again nominated for Dobro Player of the Year, as well as Male Vocalist. Tim won the award for Dobro Player of the Year, his 8th win and 5th consecutive win in the category.
Josh Williams records 'Prodigal Son'
Bluegrass recording artist Josh Williams has recorded Daryl's song 'Prodigal Son'. The song was first recorded by Daryl's former band 'New Tradition' in 1998 on their 'Stand and Be Counted' CD. Josh is a long time fan of New Tradition and was proud to be able to breath new life into the song. Here is Josh performing the song at RudyFest in Kentucky.
Daryl and'Farm Hands Quartet host the 'Midnite Jamboree'
Daryl and his group, 'The Farm Hands’ will be hosting the ‘Midnight Jamboree’, Saturday, July 7th. The hour long radio show starts at midnight and broadcasts live from the Texas Troubadour Theater adjacent to the Ernest Tubb Record Shop on Music Valley Drive in Nashville, Tennessee.
The ‘Midnight Jamboree’ is the second longest running radio show in history, second only to the Grand Ole Opry. It was started in 1947 by Country Music legend Ernest Tubb as a means to promoting his Ernest Tubb Record Shop.
